Where did the year go

Wow..time did fly

Work was just as crazy as I thought it would be and then some!

Today though I scored the DVD of "Da" with Martin Sheen/ Barnard Hughes and William Hickey. If you haven't seen this movie you need to. It's based on a broadway play and absolutely has the best dialogue ever! Thanks to Robin for turning me onto this movie!

Yesterday Lisa and Dan ran in their 1st 1/2 Marathon! So proud; Dan finished at 4000 out of 20,000 and Lisa finished 8,800 out of 20,000! Way to go kids!!

This week my "baby" sister will turn 50! How is that possible?? She is still such a brat!

Great weather for St. Louis right now! Last weekend besides taking the 2 year old colt out in the trailer (yes, I am learning how to trailer! finally - but with a lot of help from my husband) and his first riding lessons under saddle. He's doing great; but he's had an awesome teacher in Elise! I put some video's up on Facebook.

Sunday, Robin and Fran came out. The house is still messed up (finishing with all the remodel work we started in March and still haven't finished); waiting to finish the great room painting and replacing ceiling fans and wiring. Master Bedroom to be painted and a new phone jack in Mom's bedroom and I think the inside will be finished! Now if we can get a decent bid on the indoor riding arena!

It was good to visit/ Robin and Fran compared notes on their vacations to Maine. The pictures were so nice and they each really had a great time. It was Fran's 25th wedding anniversary trip I believe; and Robin's 1st real grown up vacation (no kids and not just to visit family)! I was quite jealous but no vacations this year - see note about the remodel!

Other friends, Olivia, Ingrid & Jason came out this past Saturday and Max joined us - Ingrid asked Wayne to teach Olivia how to shoot! Olivia wants to be the the "anti-Bella" I love that girl! It was perfect weather and we had a blast. Olivia ended up liking the 9mm semi-auto (I prefer the 38special) :) and we wont even get into the ones that Max brought out to play with! Just a great fun time.

Lots going on... trying to get back to quilting/ spinning /weaving more (after house is put back and I can FIND things again).

Next weekend Joey (aka Kodi with a K) has an appt with the vet; he wont be a "stud colt" after that! It's time; even though he's a great colt we dont need a stallion. I can't wait to finally ride him myself! Maybe by Thanksgiving I can ride him. Want to get a few rides with the trainer on him before I try!

I am rambling.. it happens..
